1 Transpiring membrane 2 Pierced copper band 3 ISOVENT® 4 Gutter 5 Sparrow guard 6 Bituminous membrane self-protected with slate flakes 7 Tongue and Groove boarding 8 Bearing beam 9 Gutter scantling
An ISOVENT system is quick and easy to install:
A) We recommend laying a vapor guard or transpiring membrane between the boarding, or concrete masonry floor, and ISOVENT.
B) The second operation consists in fixing a scantling on the gutter side.
C) Proceed to lay ISOVENT, providing a proper lodgement for the gutter scantling and the panels to come. The panels are fixed with adequate mechanical means. The number of fixings depends on the roof slope and the weather conditions: with a 30% to 33% slope, for example, 2/3 fixings per square meter should be adequate.
D) After laying the panels, lay the pierced copper band, the gutter and the sparrow guard.
E) In order to protect the ISOVENT system from accidental water seepage in bad weather conditions, apply to the intrados a bituminous membrane, self protected with slate flakes.
F) The roof is completed when the tiles are fixed with hooks, and the ridge ventilated according to our recommendations.
