Ascoli Piceno Shopping Center

Isosystem realized the whole roof for a new shopping centre in Ascoli Piceno, built in 2002 and covering an area of c. 60,000 sq m.

The client asked us to cover part of the structure, in glued laminated timber for a surface area of about 3,500 sq m, with a one solution system providing a self bearing structural roof and exposed intrados.

ISOSANDWICH-TOP, with its thermally insulating structural panels, was identified by Isosystem’s technical department as the most suitable solution for the job, a sandwich thermal insulator with exposed intrados which is also a self bearing structural system.

Based on the primary structure requirements, Isosystem certified partners carried out laboratory tests on load bearing capacity, panel insulating power and reaction to fire.
Laying operations were quick and easy, with great customer satisfaction considering his initial requests.

ISOSANDWICH-TOP, LOTS OF ADVANTAGES FOR THE ROOF
• Self bearing solution with main interaxes at 2 linear metres
• Thermal insulation
• Energy savings
• No thermal bridges
• Walkable, safe surface
• The transpiring membrane provides total protection against accidental seepage
• Considerable saving on laying costs

INTRADOS FINISH
The ISOSANDWICH-TOP system is available in a choice of finish: 9 mm plywood with smooth or staved finish in " CHILEAN PINE" and "FINNISH PINE", or 13 mm plasterboard.
