KENAF FIBRE
Natural material for new generation builds.
Kenaf is a plant, "a distant relative of hemp", which belongs to the cotton family. Its scientific name is Hibicus Cannabinus and it does not contain THC. Kenaf was first used in 2800 B.C. The plant was greatly appreciated as it was easy to work with in order to produce items, threads and fabrics.
Kenaf in Italy developed along the banks of the Po within the Po Valley, it was planted in March and would be picked using milling machinery beginning in November; it does not require any specific treatments or pesticides and has positive effects on the soil, freeing it of weeds.
